At Lakeview Cannobio campsite, there are three fundamentally different accommodation concepts, varying significantly in their layout, age, and flexibility. Each option focuses distinctly on lakeside living.
The Standard Mobile Home: A Focus on Communal Living
The Standard mobile homes at Lake Maggiore are located on the resort’s second tier (numbers 30 to 36). These accommodations, while several years old, are well-maintained and continuously renovated. They offer a particularly affordable way to holiday directly in Cannobio without having to compromise on a solid roof over your head. Dogs are welcome in the Standard mobile homes; the new flooring has been specially chosen for dog paws, being both robust and comfortable for your pet.
The layout features a very specific division:
- Larger Living Area: The central indoor meeting point in the mobile home is more spacious. This provides more freedom of movement for cooking and socialising during the day or on cooler evenings.
- Smaller Bedrooms: The two sleeping areas are functional and compact. They primarily serve for sleeping, while daily life unfolds in the rest of the mobile home.
- 2 of the 3 beds in the children’s room are truly only for children.
- Smaller Bathroom: The integrated bathroom with shower and WC is practical and space-saving, a little smaller than in the newer Premium mobile homes.
- Some Standard mobile homes are arranged in an L-shape.
The Standard model is complemented by a large, covered wooden veranda, a kitchenette, and direct lake views. Plenty of camping comfort for a great price!
The Premium Mobile Home: Modern Comfort and Private Retreats
For those seeking a newer model with a different room concept, the Premium mobile homes offer a completely new generation of accommodation directly on the campsite.
Here, the layout has been noticeably reconfigured compared to the Standard variant:
- Larger Sleeping Areas: The two fully-fledged bedrooms offer significantly more space. The first bedroom is equipped with a double bed and a wardrobe. The second bedroom features two single beds and an additional bunk bed, intended for children.
- Larger Bathroom: The bathroom in the Premium model is a bit more spacious, offering greater comfort for daily use.
- More Compact Living Area: To create space for larger beds and a more generous bathroom, the internal living area has been made slightly smaller.
- Overall, the new Premium mobile homes are marginally larger than the Standard mobile homes.
The Premium models also feature a covered wooden veranda, a private kitchenette, shower/WC, and lake views. They are about a 2-minute walk from the resort’s private beach area. Dogs are not permitted in these new Premium mobile homes, ensuring a safe overnight stay for allergy sufferers at Lakeview Cannobio. However, all Standard mobile homes and all holiday apartments are available for guests travelling with a four-legged companion!
The Holiday Apartments: Absolute Individuality and Ample Space
Beyond the classic mobile homes, Lakeview Cannobio Resort offers a range of holiday apartments that allow for maximum flexibility in terms of layout. The apartments were completely renovated and refurnished for the 2023 season. Each holiday apartment has its own terrace, lake views over Lake Maggiore, a bathroom (with shower, WC, and sink), and a fully equipped kitchenette. Additionally, guests can borrow their own charcoal grill from reception.
Unlike the uniform mobile homes, the holiday apartments at Lakeview Cannobio are divided into four entirely different types:
- Type 1 (Studio): A compact open-plan area with a double bed – ideal for couples. Larger than a typical hotel room and very attractively priced.
- Type 2: Features a separate bedroom and an additional sofa bed in the living area.
- Type 3: Offers two separate bedrooms for greater privacy for multiple people.
- Type 4: The largest variant with two separate bedrooms and an additional sofa bed in the living area.
The holiday apartments also welcome guests travelling with dogs and offer tailored layouts for every group size, thanks to their diverse designs.
Shared Lakeside Infrastructure
Regardless of whether you choose a mobile home or a holiday apartment, all guests use the same very large and absolutely private lake access. Depending on the exact location of the accommodation on the terraced site, the walk to the shore ranges from 30 seconds to a maximum of 3 minutes.
For dining options beyond your own kitchen, a restaurant with a terrace and bar is located directly on the Lakeview Cannobio grounds. Our bread service and the restaurant’s takeaway options are also open to all our guests – for a comfortable meal on your own terrace. If you wish to use the campsite’s sanitary facilities – for example, if the bathroom in the Standard mobile home is needed by several people simultaneously – you’ll find freshly renovated or newly built sanitary blocks in 2023 on the mobile home tier and next to the restaurant. Hot showers are completely included in the overnight price. For families with small children, a newly designed “Bambini Bath” with child-friendly toilet, shower, and sink is also available there, updated in 2023.
The decision ultimately depends entirely on personal priorities: Is an affordable price and a large communal living area a priority? Is a new, modern design with spacious beds preferred? Or are you seeking absolute individuality and the solid protection of a freshly renovated holiday apartment? Each concept places its emphasis in different areas.

Compactly built, yet significantly larger than a typical camper, they exude the charm of a camping holiday without all the downsides of motorhomes. Ideal for families but also for couples. Whether Standard or Premium is an individual choice and also a question of price. Both types are popular. Our holiday apartments are for guests who like the charm of a campsite but prefer to sleep in a classic holiday apartment. The truly important things are the same for all units anyway: the fantastic view of Lake Maggiore, the wonderful restaurant with its relaxed lounge, and, of course, our private beach.
