Sunbathing lawns on several levels
If you are looking for a change of pace, we recommend the Lido Brissago swimming pool. It is only a few minutes' drive from Lakeview Cannobio, on the Swiss side of the lake in the village of Brissago, the last Swiss town before the border with Italy.
A few years ago, the old Lido Brissago was completely renovated, and this update has done it a world of good. Modern architecture now blends into the old quarry stone walls of the terraced grounds. Several sunbathing lawns are spread across the different levels; they are excellently maintained and all offer a great view of the lake and the opposite shore of Lake Maggiore. Even during the summer rush, visitors are well spread out, so you never feel cramped at Lido Brissago.
Children's pool and restaurant
From the entrance, a path leads down to the first level, where you will find a very nice, heated children's paddling pool. This large children's area is very attractive for toddlers, and parents can keep an eye on their little ones at all times while they splash around.
One level down is the Lido Brissago restaurant, a pizzeria with an open kitchen. With some sunny and some shady seating, everyone can find their favorite spot. The food is really good for a swimming pool restaurant and the portions are large. Prices are not cheap, as is typical for Switzerland, but compared to many other beach resorts on the Swiss side of Lake Maggiore, they are quite acceptable.
Pool, diving platform, and lake access
Another level down, you will find a small, modern, and heated pool and the extremely cool diving platform: depending on the lake level, you can jump into Lake Maggiore from approx. 5m, 3m, or 1m and return very comfortably to the diving platform via wide stairs. You can also rent various water equipment, SUPs, and pedal boats at Lido Brissago. Access to the lake is wide and sandy to stony, but very pleasant. Several lifeguards supervise the entire facility, so you can feel quite safe.
The water slide
The water slide is definitely a real highlight: although Lido Brissago only offers one slide (compared to 4 at Lido Locarno), the roughly 75-meter-long slide is surprisingly fast and just plain fun. You race down several hills from the entrance to almost the level of Lake Maggiore, past trees and leaves and with a wonderful view of the lake. A water slide with a "lake view," one might say.
For the whole family
The entire grounds of the lakeside resort in Brissago are very green, very well-kept, and pleasantly natural. Perfect for the whole family because there really is something for everyone: water slide, diving platform, toddler pool, swimming pool, and of course the beautiful lake. The fact that there is a heavily discounted family admission price rounds off a great family outing: adults pay 8 francs, children 5 francs, and families 20 francs (as of 2026). The pool is open daily from 9 AM to 7 PM from the beginning of May to the end of September. Parking is available directly at the pool or across the street—don't forget your change!
