Just over an hour from Lakeview, this is home to what the operator claims is the second largest vertical wind tunnel in the world and the only one of its kind in Italy. Perfect for starting or ending a day trip to Milan, as Rho is located directly on the Verbania – Milano Centrale train line and on the highway.
What is Aero Gravity?
Aero Gravity is an indoor skydiving tunnel where you experience the sensation of free fall in a controlled environment. Six large turbines in the vertical wind tunnel generate wind speeds of up to 370 km/h. This means beginners get their money's worth just as much as the experienced skydivers who train here.
What does indoor skydiving feel like?
The special thing about indoor skydiving: anyone can experience the feeling of flying without having to jump out of an airplane. The airflow carries the body and simulates a free fall from a great height, while trained instructors are always in the flight chamber with you.

The process
1. Booking: You book your appointment on the Aero Gravity website, where you can also see the available times.
2. Briefing: On-site, the instructors explain the correct body posture and the hand signals used to communicate in the wind tunnel. The staff speaks good English, so knowledge of Italian is not necessary. In the wind tunnel itself, no one can speak anyway due to the wind noise.
3. The flight: You get a flight suit, helmet, and goggles and go into the flight chamber with the instructor, while family and friends watch through the glass panes. As soon as the wind ramps up, you feel the pressure from below and float. The instructor holds and corrects you until you are lying steadily in the air.
4. After the flight: You can buy photos and videos of your flight directly on-site.
Who is indoor skydiving suitable for?
Children as young as 4 years old can fly, and you don't need any special level of fitness. The instructors are trained to react to every situation and support you throughout the entire flight. The children who accompanied us for the test found it "gigantic and unique."
In any weather
The wind tunnel is open year-round and is independent of the weather. This makes Aero Gravity a great idea for a rainy day at Lake Maggiore.
