Lido Locarno (Ticino, CH)

This relatively new and architecturally beautiful swimming pool is located directly on the lakeshore. In summer, the lake access of the Lido Locarno is combined with swimming pools, while in winter the indoor pools and the warm thermal pools are particularly inviting. There are 4 water slides at Lido Locarno, two of which are very suitable for children, plus a funnel slide and a very fast looping slide. The diving tower is open only in the summer and features diving boards and platforms up to 10 meters high. The outdoor children’s pool is spacious and beautifully designed, and the depth of the indoor children’s pool can be adjusted. Both indoors and outdoors, the Lido Locarno offers training pools with separate lanes for swimming practice.

In the adjacent building there are areas for SPA treatments at a high level. The gastronomy at Lido Locarno is good and offers typical swimming pool food. The Lido Locarno is very suitable to pass a rainy day with the whole family without frustration. In the summer, the swimming pool is highly recommended due to the very extensive outdoor facilities and becomes a beautiful seaside resort. In winter, especially the thermal pool with outdoor pool of the Lido Locarno has its fans with its massage jets, bubble areas and massage benches. From the outdoor thermal pool, in winter, you can see the often snow-covered mountains that seem to climb out of Lake Maggiore. Usually paired with dark red sunsets, while the walls of the modern pool are fabrlich illuminated. Landscape meets wellness, perfectly staged at Lido Locarno.

However, the whole thing has its (not quite cheap) price, which the Lido Locarno is undoubtedly worth. If you like it a bit cheaper, you will also be happy (but only in summer) at Lido Brissago. Also there you can find a great water slide, swimming pool, diving tower and lake access. Also in summer, the beach in Cannobio with the Acqualand Cannobio is a great alternative!
