The Lakeview Camping Resort
Lakeview Cannobio Camping & Resort is a campsite and vacation village with mobile homes and apartments. A few hundred meters from the center of Cannobio, Lakeview Resort is located directly in the nature reserve, nestled in the mountain on several terraced levels. This concept offers you a lot of privacy and a stunning, unique view of Lake Maggiore and the neighboring mountains and cities from every seat.
The location
Lakeview Cannobio is surrounded by woods, the campsite is very close to nature and is being extensively landscaped with Italian plants by the new owners. A perfect place for individualists, nature lovers, water lovers and recreational sports enthusiasts - because the Lakeview Resort borders directly on Lake Maggiore. We are not a large campsite, but a small family vacation village directly on Lake Maggiore. Our guests appreciate this and like our Italian hospitality.
The exclusive private beach
Several hundred meters of our own beach line form our exclusive private beach, which is rounded off by a large green sunbathing lawn. Children can play and have fun here, parents can relax. Slackline, Ninja Line and wooden games offer variety on the beach. It never gets crowded on Lakeview Cannobio's very large private beach: even when the resort is at full capacity, the expansive private beach is never full.
Everyone can find their place, whether shady, semi-shady or sunny is preferred. The very long beach access is ideal to discover Lake Maggiore by kayak, dinghy or SUP. For motorboats we also offer 14 own buoys, where you can comfortably moor.
The vacation apartments
Our 16 Lakeview vacation apartments have been lovingly renovated and refurnished for the 2023 season. The apartments are spread over several houses throughout the campsite. Each apartment has a kitchenette, bathroom with shower and toilet, the bedrooms vary depending on the size of the apartment chosen.
Without changing the Italian charm and the special features of the houses, we have managed to create vacation apartments with bright colors and modern furnishings that make affordable and attractive vacations possible at the same time. Who is looking for the highest luxury is wrong with us, our apartments are modern, functional, clean and simply beautiful and cozy. Terraces with garden furniture, a small barbecue and a unique lake view complete each of our apartments.
The mobile homes
16 Lakeview Mobilehomes offer our guests the charm of a camping vacation without the hassle and stress of transporting a caravan or camper van. Each mobile home of Lakeview Cannobio has a perfect view of Lake Maggiore and has a kitchenette, bedroom, shower and toilet, giving you the comforts of a vacation home. However, they are somewhat smaller than the vacation apartments and exude typical camping flair due to their construction. For the 2023 season, a large number of the mobile homes were extensively renovated and perfectly integrated into our natural vacation village with lots of wood. In 2024, 9 mobile homes were replaced by new ones, our new Lakeview Premium mobile homes. The previous mobile homes are still available as affordable standard mobile homes.
The campsite
Our camping areas are spread over two terraces with space for around 30 campers. Electricity is available at each site if needed, and waste disposal is provided at the main house. We do not offer water and sewage at the site, because our campsite is not suitable for oversized motorhomes. Small and medium campers, caravans and of course tents appreciate our place for the extensive nature and the unique view of Lake Maggiore.
Infrastructure
Our shower/washroom/toilet facilities will be completely renovated for the 2023 season and expanded to include shower and washing facilities for people with physical disabilities. For families there is a special large family shower. Of course, the showers with hot water are included with us. The main house was also completely rebuilt for the 2023 season and will once again be home to a restaurant and bar. With fully opening facade, Lakeview Restaurant & Lakeview Bar present modern and bright. Directly across the street is our open Lakeview Lounge, a nice covered spot for a leisurely breakfast or a quick snack in between meals. In the immediate vicinity, children will find fun in our new playground, with a cozy sitting area for parents.
Our mission
We, two German entrepreneurial families, have been spending our free time on Lake Maggiore for decades and have found the most beautiful places and sites during this time. The lake is our great love and our adopted home. In the fall of 2022 we have fulfilled a dream and bought the venerable Bosco campsite. Located in the middle of the nature reserve, surrounded by Lake Maggiore, forests and mountains, a real paradise!
With a lot of commitment and great local craftsmen we have rebuilt, renovated and renewed the facility very extensively. With a clear goal and a clear focus: to turn this beautiful place with a long history and a unique view into a paradise again with our international team. We work on this for you day and night and are not satisfied until you are.
