Charging an electric car

Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to charge an electric car directly at Lakeview: we are still waiting for the necessary permits to expand the power supply. No electric cars may be connected to the power supply available on the pitches, in the mobile homes and in the vacation apartments, as the fuses are not suitable for this.  

However, this is not a problem, as there are many public charging stations in Cannobio, one of which is shown on the map on the right. These are 11kw or 22kw wallboxes, mostly from EnelX, which usually also work with German charging cards - we have tested it with EnBW and EWE Go charging cards, but our guests report that almost all charging cards work. It is usually a little cheaper to download the Enel app ("Enel Your Way") and charge via it - Enel offers a tariff without a basic fee and you can even pay with Paypal.  

You will also find two Tesla Superchargers on the direct route from the north: one in Locarno, Via Vincenzo Vela 5 and one between the highway exit and Lakeview in Cadenazzo, Via Cantonale / Via Stazione 10.

You can combine a shopping trip with a fast charging station in Gravellona Toce at the Centro il Isole shopping center: there are 4 Ewiva fast chargers in front of the shopping center, which can be paid for directly by card or also work with German charging cards. There are also 2 50kW chargers from EnelX in the rear parking lot of the shopping center.   

You will also find other fast chargers in Verbania - there are various operators and options here. Basically, you are almost always on the safe side in Italy with your charging card from home, provided it is activated for international roaming. Otherwise, the Enel Your Way app is a good alternative - and Enel is currently probably the most widespread charging provider in Italy.
