A good 75 minutes from Cannobio Lakeview Camp & Resort is the Foxtown Outlet Center in Mendrisio, in the south of Ticino just before the Italian border. Around 160 brands sell here all year round with discounts of 30 to 70%.

Shopping in any weather
If the weather is bad, we recommend a trip to the Fox Town Shopping Center. The outlet center is located south of Lugano in Mendrisio in the canton of Ticino and is very easy to reach, it is directly on the highway. Fox Town is open daily from 11am to 7pm, closed only on a few public holidays such as New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, August 1 and Christmas. A good 160 stores of well-known brands such as Hugo Boss, Armani, Puma, Adidas, Nike, Salomon and Escada, a casino as well as several bars and restaurants offer plenty of space for extensive shopping tours. Prices, which can be paid in both euros and Swiss francs, are factory prices - you can get real bargains here at the Foxtown Outlet in Ticino.
Tips for your visit
A trip to Mendrisio to Fox Town is especially recommended in bad weather, as the outlet center is completely covered. However, in bad weather and during vacation periods you have to expect longer waiting times in front of the parking lots. It is then recommended to come very early or relatively late. If possible, it also helps to avoid vacation periods or weekends.
Food and breaks
For a snack in between, Foxtown offers several restaurants, cafés and bars directly in the building, including Chalet Suisse with Swiss cuisine. In the immediate vicinity you will also find the usual fast food chains to recharge your energy after great outlet shopping.

Getting there from Cannobio
By car, take the route via Locarno and Bellinzona onto the A2 highway towards Lugano and Chiasso, exit Mendrisio. You need a vignette for the Swiss highway. If you prefer shopping in Italy: the Vicolungo Style Outlet is about the same distance from us.
A good 75 minutes after your last purchase, you're back with us at the lake. In Cannobio you stay in a mobile home by the lake, in a holiday apartment in Cannobio or at a motorhome pitch on Lake Maggiore.
